Kindermusik at Windham Music Studios

OUR TEACHERS

MISS SARAH

Sarah is the Owner and director of Windham Music Studios. She graduated from Grace College in 2015 with Bachelor of Arts degrees in both
Psychology and Biblical Studies and a minor in Spanish, as well as adding many musical theater performances to her resume. Along with 13 years of dancing ballet, she played a variety of instruments throughout her school years including piano, French
horn, mallet percussion, and tuba (her favorite!), and sang in almost every choir she
could. Sarah began her journey with Kindermusik when she started attending classes
with her then 3 month-old son. Certified to teach Kindermusik since 2014, she has
found teaching Kindermusik to be the perfect pairing for her interest in developmental
psychology and love of music and movement.

MISS Shannon

Shannon graduated from SUNY Brockport in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Special Education with a minor in Dance. She then went on to earn her Master’s degree in Literacy. Shannon taught elementary school for 8 years, while also teaching various styles of dance at a dance studio in New York. She started her Kindermusik journey when she started attending classes with her then 18 month old son. Certified to teach since 2022, Shannon finds that Kindermusik unites her love for teaching with movement and music.

Miss Grace

Grace graduated from Penn State University in 2017 with a Bachelors of Music Education. She then graduated from Penn State in 2020 with her Masters in Education in Educational Leadership, also earning her K-12 Pennsylvania principal certification through the program. Miss Grace is also Kodaly certified through the Organization of American Kodaly Educators from Southern Methodist University in Summer 2022. She served as a middle school choir and general music teacher for six years before becoming a Kindermusik teacher. Miss Grace started her Kindermusik journey when she started taking her two year-old daughter to Kindermusik classes in Fall 2022. Recently certified to teach Kindermusik in 2023, Miss Grace enjoys incorporating her love of teaching music and using music pedagogy with developmental stages of babies, toddlers, and young children.

Miss Catie

Catie graduated from York College of Pennsylvania in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in Early Elementary Education. She taught as a building substitute teacher in York Suburban School District before the arrival of her son. She then became a nanny for a few families. Catie started her Kindermusik journey when her 17 month old son started classes in 2023. Catie became certified to teach Kindermusik in 2024 and finds that Kindermusik is the perfect blend between teaching child development and music education.

Miss Tasha

Tasha graduated from Temple University in 2012 with a Bachelors in Music Education. Since graduating, Tasha has taught and directed various general music classes, choirs, instrumental ensembles, and musicals, as well as taught both vocal and piano lessons. She has served as the middle school choral director at Emory H Markle Middle School since 2014 and has been directing several of South Western School District’s elementary bands since 2020. Tasha committed to furthering her studies and received her Master’s in Choral Conducting from Messiah College in 2016. She is currently working on an additional certification in teaching music to students with special needs through the University of Arkansas. Tasha first found interest in early childhood music when she interned in Temple University’s Music Prep program in 2011-2012. Her desire to share how music can be used as a tool for learning only grew, as she witnessed infants through preschoolers increase their language, motor, and social-emotional skills within this early childhood music program.

Tasha is excited to expand her musical endeavors in working with early childhood music through Windham Music Studios. She loves how Kindermusik provides an open, safe, and nurturing environment for both children and caregivers to learn, grow, play, and socialize with others in their community. She also loves the added bonus of having her two children alongside her to partake in the magic of music-making.
